We had our Covid jab x 2 early this year and those two jabs show up in the NHS Covid App as recorded and the Travel Passport is generated successfully. However, we had a Covid booster jab a fortnight ago and that doesn't show on the NHS Covid App record.

The blurb says to get in touch with your GP surgery if your jabs aren't getting recorded and that the record should be posted in the database within 5 days of getting the jab. I got in touch with my GP Surgery and they confirm that the booster jab is recorded and to get in touch with NHS Covid line 119 if the Covid Travel Passport record is incomplete.

119 Covid Helpine just confirmed that Boosters are not being recorded on the Covid Passport database so will not show up there. Has anyone else been through this and got a different answer?

Not been through it personally, but had heard exactly what you describe was advised on the 119 Covid Helpline.

I believe they are possibly intending to update the software to accommodate the booster jab status on the Covid Passport, but suspect it won't happen overnight....?

If you want proof of the booster, it was suggested ask surgery to provide a paper note of the third Covid vaccination.

My NHS app shows all my jabs ,covid x2 plus flu so would expect the booster to be shown on the list also. Mine is due 5 Nov ,so will see.

We didn’t which we both thought a bit odd. I’ve checked the NHS App it doesn’t appear. As it was only last Weds we’ll give it a few more days before chasing the surgery.

My NHS app only has the first 2 covid jabs on the “covid pass” however under immunisations, it lists the later flu and covid booster as well.

I had mine a month ago but wonder if it's not showing on the covid app because in terms of vaccination two is counted as fully covered for travel etc.
Just checked it's on my NHS app

On mine you have to go into “view your GP health record “ so my flu jab is there. My Covid jabs are there as well as on my Covid pass. The Booster isn’t on the pass. I presume it will be if other countries start wanting it though.

It will vary depending on how it’s coded by your GP surgery where you will find it, it’s not always in medicines.

From NHS Scotland website

Why isn't my booster dose shown on my vaccination status?

Only your first and second dose will show on your vaccination status, even if you've had a third or booster dose. Boosters are not required for international travel or domestic use (in Scotland), so are not currently included in the COVID Status app or paper copy.

Booster not required on the travel pass they say. But increasingly, countries are starting to require evidence of a third jab, and regard second doses given more than12 months ago to no longer be effective enough. and of course, travel is not only used for holidaying. Families getting reunited, business and commerce are rather more important, so this really need addressing.

From the BBC, the matter was addressed in the commons today.

....Government considering how to record booster jabs - Javid
Back in the Commons, Conservative MP Greg Clark asks when the NHS Covid Pass app will be updated to record third doses, which are required to enter some countries.

Sajid Javid says the reason third doses are not shown on the app currently is that they're not required for domestic purposes.

But he says he recognises they are a requirement to enter some countries now, and it is important the government responds to this.

"We are considering how best to make such information available," he says, adding that he will have more to say on this "very shortly".....

Here you go, just book a post travel test - not NHS- before travelling back.

Word has it that 2 annadin extra does the same job so just take a pack when travelling.

the following is from a news article dated 15 November.………

However, the Government has explained why.

A spokesperson for the Department of Health and Social Care said: “Currently, booster vaccinations are not required for domestic certification in England or at the UK border and are not currently displayed in the NHS Covid Pass.

“We know some countries are altering their vaccination requirements, so we continue to keep this under review to ensure British citizens can travel abroad as easily as possible.”

It is understood that countries across the globe only require proof that travellers have been double-jabbed as the booster is still limited to certain age groups.

If you download the French TousAntiCovid app onto your phone you can store the qr code for your second jab on it, there’s no expiry date so you don’t need to keep updating them.
I have both of ours in the app on my phone to save having to get both phones out for them to scan.
When/if a qr code becomes availabLe for the booster I’ll store them too.

No tests are necessary to come back to Wales, just order a day 2 test. We did ours yesterday. I ordered them from Expert Medicals (£15 each). Simplytestme (£12 each ) couldn’t supply them when we needed them as we decided to return on the Friday and got the tunnel on Sunday pm.

Well the last paragraph is missing a small word that makes a lot of difference!. It should be ," MOST countries around the globe,"

The only place you can see the booster is on the NHS APP. You can then take a screen shot and print that. This is not an official proof, however migt be accepted abroad. Looks like the government tries to keep us at home by making travelling difficult.

We have tried to get the booster off the NHS at 5 months and 1 week since our last one before we go overseas on 9th Dec. They wont have it. We are now trying to get it through Boot's and or Lloyds.
