Hi,
We are going to Spain on the ferry this week (or are meant to be) but we are having issues uploading proof of our covid vaccination status onto the Spanish website that requires the passenger health declaration form (spthm.puertos.es). We have downloaded them successfully but every time we try to upload and compete the form it says it won’t accept them. Had anybody had the same issue and found a solution please?
Thanks,
Laura

No experience of this in particular, but from an IT standpoint the usual problem is that people inadvertantly make the Upload far too big for the system to handle. Check the file size and file type (eg .jpg) are both acceptable.

Strange! I will need to complete this form soon too, ( can’t do it yet as more than 48hrs) but my understanding ( based on coming the other way last week into the U.K.) is that the locator form is a form in itself, for which you get a QR code, and your proof of vaccination is the separate vaccination certificate with its own QR code, therefore you should have to show both separately.
I could be wrong, but first I’ve heard about linking the two together on the PLF for ….certainly wasn’t the method used for coming into U.K. from spain.

Hi, I don't have the time to read the whole thread.

But if it helps, I had the same issue.

Turns out, I had put my full name at the start but not at the end.

Maybe it could be an issue with your browser, I have found Microsoft Edge won't work with some sites and instead I use Firefox or Google Chrome
Thanks

Are you sure you need to
I was under the impression that you only need to show proof of vaccination on arrival at Santander or Bilbao to border control officers and fill in an FCS online 48 hours before arrival

I am traveling on the 22nd Aug (arriving 23), and I just started the form today assuming that I could go back to it as it says you can. Yet it accepted all my data including the date of arrival in Spain and health answers. It then sent me an email with the bar code document??? I am a bit lost as clearly I am early if the 48 hr limit is correct??

sallylillian theyve changed the form in the last few days! The link from BF now takes you here.

!ast week, there was a separate form for entry either by air or by sea! Now it seems there’s only 1!

This one says you can fill it in, get a barcode, then go back to it within the 48 hrs and get the QR code.😜🤷‍♂️
………the mind boggles!

Thanks, that link is the same that I used, and I did as above, selected other for vaccination and entered type and date of last jab. Then signed the form and it went off and sent me an email with a pdf with QR code and all the data. Strange. I then did my wife's and the same. Michael

Thanks for your reply. We are now in Spain. You need to upload the covid vaccination proof bit on the FCS online form (or fill the section in saying you’ve had it with the details).

Thanks that sorts that confusion out
We only have COVID vaccination paper certificates issued in Scotland on A4 paper no nhs APP
At least I now know that I can enter the details manually when we travel

lauramcgee8 I have googled everywhere trying to find out exactly what’s needed to enter Spain, I have read double jab is enough, then another page read I need a pcr test etc. As you are now in Spain , could you please put me out of my misery and let me know all that is required, thanks in advance.

Mickey.

If anyone is due to go the Spain this month on BF ferry, perhaps you can go through the FCS form and see if it completes and sends you the email with the pdf certificate with QR code immediately and although you are still outside the purported 48 window.???

Yes!
Did it this morning for our crossing departing Plymouth next Sunday 8th….bit of a faff uploading the vaccination certificate ( from a screenshot) but eventually it took it got the email back instantly saying form Filled out correctly, and QR code issued 👍

Double jabbed, and the locator form is all that is ( currently) needed, no extra testing required. 👍

I've done the same , we leave on the 9th and I started to fill the form and it has sent me the email with the bar code. I'm confused do I need to repeat it 48 hrs prior to ferry ?

Bar code, or QR code?
if you got an email stating form filled out correctly, and a square QR code on it, you’re sorted. ( see above 😉)
The 48 hr thing doesn’t seem to apply🤷‍♂️😜

Great, as an aside I did not need to upload my NHS doc, as it stated EU digi I selected other, and completed the vax details manually. Also when you think of BF do a 2 night UK to Spain crossing, it would then prove difficult to comply with 48hr rule. Anyway Dave's said OK so that's good enough for me.🤣

I thought that the 48 hours before arrival in Spain is just for people who are not double vaccinated and need an antigen test

Can I use this thread to reverse the process? We will not be coming back until the end of October and of course things may change, but as it stands we have to take a test in Spain 3 days before departure. Do we get some in the UK or organise it in Spain nearer the time as it may have changed by then?

Current situation is this.

UK-Spain:
Double vaccinated need to print off or download the proof from NHS app.

Non or single vaccinated will need a PCR test.

You will also need to fill in the form for the Spanish health system here, regardless of vaccinated or PCR.

We flew in on 21st July. As posted elsewhere. Only our Spanish health QR code was scanned.

We went by ferry in June. We didn’t need anything other than the Spanish health form (printed paper version that time).
