Sounds like a TV program doesn't it 😀 although I've probably got a more suitable face for radio 🤔😆

Anyway I've been cooking again and I was going to post it in the Spanish cooking thread but although I'm in Spain at the moment it's not not really a Spanish meal. But it is simple, easy to cook and delicious.
It's bacon and egg on lightly toasted Warburtons toasty bread. I suppose that's a bit of a crap example as everyone knows how to do that, but If you have a recipe that meets the above criteria (simple easy delicious) post it here and we can have a thread to refer to when we don't know what to do for dinner. We all know simple meals but I for one tend to forget about some of them, or maybe you have a great version of something to share 😋

Another great simple meal is something I do at home a lot. It's based on my big sisters old corned beef hash recipe but is adaptable to other things, I don't eat much meat so I put haddock in it.

But it's basically, mashed potato, chopped onion, garlic, peas (optional) all in a pot dish with cheese and sliced tomato on top, bake in oven for about 50 minutes and it's spot on 👌

Linda McCartney mince is nice in it too and encona sauce on top ✨🌶️

For me the bacon is over cooked the eggs look suspicious and the bread ..... other than that excellent Richard 👌 😀

You can all laugh 😜, but who wants to cook a big elaborate meal in a motorhome with limited space (no matter how big your van is) and not only that, washing up after is a right faff. Yes we do eat out sometimes, but there aren't any Wetherspoons here 😆 joking 😋

It all depends on your priorities, there are people who eat to live, then there are people who live to eat. So you take your choice. I personally live to eat, and cook frequently in the van. Having a reduced space for creativity is a great challenge and one that inspires me (I do all the cooking) and is all part of the adventure. My wife loves the food I prepare too, so win win. So long as I have a glass of wine close by, I will create tasty meals. Cheers 🍷 🍷

Wetherspoons would be to expensive in Benidorm 😎

I'm with Barrie on this... (Mr. GerTee here). This is one of our favorites in the van, https://dearsoupdragon.wordpress.com/motorhome-cooking/beef-and-orzo-stroganoff/

I keep meaning to post more recipes up, but never seem to get round to it :-(

All the best, Team GerTee.

All that lovely Spanish food around and you eat that, might as well stayed at home.
You mean like paella? 🤢 There's claws and god knows what else in it, plus it stinks, I nearly threw up last time I had some. Someone bought a big one for their birthday party to share out, I had some to be polite but it wasn't a nice experience 😬
Stick with what you know and love is my philosophy, that way you're never disappointed 🥰

If you'll allow me a change to that recipe, I would suggest you lightly brown the meat first and take it out of the pan. Then do all the rest and when there are just 3 or 4 minutes to go, add the meat. That way it will be juicier. 😀

Why do people think that the only dish in Spain is paella? Spain is the home of one of the best cuisines in the world and if you haven't tried it you are living a very sad life.

One pan meal.
1 tin mince
1 tin new potatoes
1 tin beans ( or other veg if u prefer)
Puncture top of tins
Place in pan of boiling water
Heat to desired temperature.
Use water to make tea
Open tins and pour into empty pan.
Find fork and eat from pan
3 things to wash up.

You stick to your ‘Spoons food and you’ll be fine. 🤣🤣🤣

Fry bacon (a bit) fork a can of baked beans in (Heinz Five Beans if going posh)

Eat from frying pan with fork

Two items to wash up, one if you use bread to scour the Bacon fat and bean juice from the pan, none if you lick the fork clean!

It's nice when you do a challenging meal in the van and it all comes together.

Love Paella particularly marina seafood ones.

Does anybody on here eat anything remotely healthy - every meal I'v seen posted looks like cholesterol on a plate 🤷
Tonight will be lightly smoked salmon aparagus and broccoli, does that count as healthy? Last night was chicken thigh in the air fryer with potatoes peppers and mushrooms 😉
