Cooking with Richard (simple easy to cook delicious van meals)

and probably grew up eating sugar sandwiches and beef dripping on toast with a bit of salt to make it taste better :giggle:
A lot of the ones who did that are dead mind you, we’re the lucky ones who are getting away with it so far due to good genes plus or minus statins :giggle:

I think I come from a line of good genes im the youngest of seven and still got 5 siblings alive and never touched statins and never weighed over 10.5 stone

A bit light on the beans. Were they the "essential" beans at 18 p per tin? :imoutahere:

It's a small tin and if I have half it lasts 2 days 🤩🤗. I think they are about 25p👌

Much better than the other beans I bought from Farmfoods, they were hard and mostly sauce 👎

Thats to strip the grease back off afterwards lol.

Cheap cola can clean anything haha
I wouldn't drink cheap cola at home as it's usually a celebration of aspertine and saccarine, in fact it should be illegal. But this Spanish Freeway really is as good as the real thing 👌

The French version is ghastly though.

I have just had a blt sandwich. I've eaten it so cannot photograph.
Recipe
Take two slices of bread
Throw the lettuce in the bin to save time
Fry three rashers of back bacon to taste
Throw the tomato in the bin
Put the bacon on one piece of bread and liberally apply HP sauce.
Put the other piece of bread on top and slice diagonally as it makes it easier to eat.
Delicious, accompany by a pint of beer of choice, or in this case San Miguel by necessity.

Love it, will have to try that one.. I've screenshotted the recipe 😎👍

Stepping up a level. My basic mushroom omelette this morning for Aneta, she's washing the clothes so I'm cooking brunch.

She says it's delicious, so it meets the criteria of this thread 🤩
Hmmmm that should have been served on 2 slices of the aforementioned Warburtons toasties white covered with a layer of Bovril. ;) (y)

First curry in the new van this week...chicken rogan josh...unfortunately no wholemeal flour locally for the chapatis so had to buy some naan. mrs pb gave it a double thumbs up with a clean plate and the leftover frozen for her tea one night.

That looks lovely and it's making me hungry. Try making your own naan next time, it's very easy and you cook it in a frying pan. I always make it when doing a curry.
