Hi
Just seeing if anyone can give me any help. we are on our way to the south coast from newark on trent and the warning light as come on for brake wear on the back brakes, looks like we need to get new brake pads fitted soon, or maybe disc as well, the motorhome is a concorde chrisma based on the mercedes 616 chasiss with twin back wheels same as the hymer s820, has anybody had this job done before who has any idea of the cost, any help would be appriciated, do we head back home ?, how long is the warning light coming on telling us the job needs doing ?
Regards
George

Typically the warning light for pads comes on well before you MUST get them replaced - otherwise it would be a pointless warning and dangerous to be suddenly sat in a vehicle with insufficient brakes. However, I don't know your model or have experience with twin back wheels.

The old system of a bent metal pin screeching against the edge of your brake disk (an audible warning) used to give you around 5mm and therefore 1,000+ miles - VERY approximately.
