Col de Tourmalet travelling West

Has anyone done this? We're due to attempt it in a couple of days, but I'm beginning to have some doubts. We'll be travelling from Bagnères de Luchon to a campsite I've booked in Gavarnie.

We went in the opposite direction in 2019 in a 7.5m A class no problem

Not a problem unless about a week before the Tour De France goes over it then its rammed! Done it a 7.4mtr motorhome and raced over it in the early 1980's on motorcycles. They tend to patch the road early May following any winter damage so travelling in June all the repairs should be done.

Overall I’ve found it pretty easy in the van, less so on the bike
