Coach mirror - water ingress

We have a small leak and we think we have identified the source. it appears to be (we assume) tracking along the bolts running from the coach mirror into the inside of the van and then dripping down the inside of the window (passenger, not door window) A class bus

Has anyone else had a similar experience/problem?

I'm tempted to get some suitable sealant and apply to the top side of the coach mirror where it connects to the van so it then presumably cannot track into the van.

Any thoughts folks?

Think I’d have to remove the mirror arm and assembly and gauge the level of damp that might well have built up and then look to see what’s needed to be a permanent solution to the ingress.
