Never leave a campsite with your clothes line tied to a lamp post.
Well, do we think they will open again on 2nd December?

The Tincas

Just had a booking cancelled by C&MC Melrose as restrictions in Scotland are up to (at least) 11th December.
Not sure whether they are also taking into consideration the cross border restriction in place until ???

I doubt they will reopen as I suspect that our beloved leader will impose even more restrictions until Xmas. We will then be given a few days off and pay for the freedom in the New Year. Oh! and I'm an optimist .

I suspect that is the plan.
Rock and hard place I reckon.

I am thinking we will come out of lockdown into high tier system with no overnights away from home until a couple of free nights at xmas then back into lockdown 🙁

If you are placed in tier 3 with the government advising against travel the CMC won't let you stay at any site out of your area not sure about CCC rules though.

Possibly due to your home address being in a higher tier, we stayed there a couple of weeks ago and had to show proof of our home address.
Highly recommend the Thai takeaway just 5 mins walk from the site.

Yes, the CCC won’t take your booking if you’re in tier 3.

We’re suppose to be at York Rowntree site over Christmas.....but if that’s in a higher tier than The Cotswolds, I doubt if we’ll be ‘allowed’ to travel there.......:(

Looking at tonight’s news looks like no travel so Christmas breaks cancelled .

I've got Melrose booked for the weekend of the 11th but I'm expecting it being cancelled since I'm just south of the border, if so I've got a couple of local dark sky sites that I can go to instead

The virus will not disappear on 2nd December stay home stay safe.

Might as well sell your motorhomes folks no point in paying for something you can't use due to your human rights being taken away.

True if we all stop in for ever it will cure every pandemic forever we can do the same next year when covid 21 is doing the rounds 👍

Would that be the ‘human right’ to infect others then..........? ;)
The virus is here. Get used to it, it’s never going away. The only way to stay safe is to stay at home for the rest of your life. If that’s how you want to spend your remaining years fine. A lot of us want some quality of life. This is a motorhome forum. We (most of us) want use our motorhomes. This will forevermore include some risk of contracting Covid. The only way to avoid this is to never step outside again.

Yeah and I can go to work everyday though and mix with people but I cant do anything else can't carry on like that forever better of in prison really
