.
I have a fiat ducato 2.3 2003 Moho.
the clutch seems to be over tightened. By that I mean just a touch on the pedal and the clutch disengages.

I was hoping for at least halve the travel

the engine has a total of 19 k on it but I can’t seem to find the adjustment on it.
speaking to a mobile mechanic he said it was over adjusted .
and if it was gone or going it would be a case of fully depressed and a slight release the clutch would disengaged or gone.

so to me it’s the case of over adjusted.

the question is where would be the best place to ease this a little so far I can’t see where I can do this.

I think I am going to get our local garage to sort it out and if need be fit a new clutch
was going to do the timing belt and water pump next year but if they have to fit a new clutch they might as well do it all at the same time and anything else they see apart from the engine servic3 that a
has already been done.

Hydraulic clutch so there is no adjustment.
It does look like the clutch is about to fail.
Oh yes, you need a new mobile mechanic.

19K seem very low for a 2003 van and a worn out clutch ---- are sure its the true mileage.
When was the timing belt last done?

I'm not up on an early Ducato but IF the clutch is fully hydraulic, I would try changing the fluid and bleeding it first before jumping to the conclusion that the clutch needs changing?

I am booking it into the garage. New complete clutch assembly new timing belt new water pump new exhaust rear box.
anything else they think needs doing they will just get on with it.

but getting them to check it all over first.
I have an honest garage been going there for as long as I can remember. So I know what they say will be right.

I have a similar model and my clutch is riding quite high, what is a ball park cost for replacing the clutch?

my clutch disengages within the first 1 inch or so of pressing the pedal.

Including a timing belt here in Southampton. £ 1050.00
