Having been warned that Milton can degrade the internal tubes (rubber/vinyl) we’re wondering what others have found that works safely. We’re talking about the fresh water system, but also the grey water drain tubes. My OH wants to use baking soda or white vinegar (diluted). Any experience in discovering these damage the internals of the pump or the pipes?

Almost sure there is a you tube vid using soda and white vinegar, think its called Diamond Dave MH tips..

Thanks TONCAZ ( this forum is fab!) We’ve heard of Diamond Dave - used to watch his tips on Caravan TV.

Puriclean for us too.
Run all the taps in turn till you can smell a chlorine smell.
With about 1/3 of a tank of water, drive about too slosh it about or when your on your way back from a trip.
Leave for a few hours and empty the tank, refill and run it through till the smell goes, leave it in the grey tank for a while to do its stuff in there too.

Citric acid, but food grade only.

Just done mine again, amazing results.
