Just to confirm, our 2022 pitch cost is £20 per night (up to the 30th September 2022)) and £22 per night (1st October 2022 - 30th April 2023) That includes hard standing, 10 amp EHU and 2 adults. (Extra adults are £2 per night) Children and dogs are free.

Many thanks and I look forward to hearing back from you.

That seems a lot of info! We are in CCC so the 5 van site equivalent CS only ask for your membership number and possibly a mobile number in case they need to cancel (or you don't turn up!). I suppose it's reasonable to ask how many people but I'd be reluctant to give any more info than that.

His site so his booking form, probably had a few take the Mickey when they started and now try to cover everything on one form.

Tedious but not that onerous really 🤔😁

His site his rules I suppose

I thought you said it was a CL, not a full blown site with pool and all facilities, at that price I would be telling them to get stuffed.

My word...is that the going rate....I think we need to consider staying in Spain this summer.....Free Municipal Aire...some with electric, where we go....£22 should buy us a good seafood meal for two...glad we chose to live outside our home country....we would be poor pensioner's if we lived there......🤔🇪🇦👍

If you want to stay at his cl then fill in the form if not don't. Prices with ehu can only get higher in these days of rising energy prices, where they will stop who knows.

I don't think the information requested is too bad, I just gave most of that on the phone to a CL yesterday. The price is another issue, it must be in a wonderful location to ask that kind of price.

Some of the deatils are OK when we had track and trace but not now, the rest seems simple enough to me.

On a related topic - Does anyone think the pricing structure of the CMC is getting silly? When you look on their website there are quite often 20+ different pricing structure depending on whether its low season, high season, saver, super saver or bank holiday weekend etc. Very often the prices only vary by 50p to £1. It seems to me it could be more hassle to administer it than its worth.

I never look, just do a booking and before committing decide if the price is acceptable, if it is book it if not just leave it.

Wouldnt have a problem with giving any of that info. Sounds to me like the kind of guy who knows what he is doing and is well organised. Doesn’t leave much room for complaints that often arise when folks expectations are not met due to lack of info.

It looks pretty well the same info as you would have had to complete on the website.

There could be site issues that are not generally advertised, height / width restrictions, pitches of irregular sizes, dogs that eat kids / kids that eat dogs, all the usual stuff 😉

He may be trying to deter certain groups from booking/ turning up. If on arrival the details are not as agreed on booking form he then has legitimate reason for refusing entry.
Just a thought...

Most CLs I booked just required your membership number. Some, especially in Devon Cornwall, and peak times required a deposit. I don’t blame them really considering the amount of no shows.

Like me.....we must keep up with current pricing, what happened to Lawned field, tap and Elsan...£3.50 per night...perhaps the same as Mars Bars being the size of an average Housebrick....years gone by....

Why do you have to pay extra if more than 2 going and in addition pay £2 a day for showers? Is it a CL a campsite??? Is it a CL at the side of his campsite?

I try to use CL sites as much as possible and when speaking to owners at the sites, they are having a big problem with people booking and not turning up, when they only have 5 pitches, ‘no shows‘ can cost them dear.
The other issue is a Motorhome turns up and then their kids arrive in 2 or 3 other cars and park where they want, not fair really, as most CL and CS sites are in owners gardens.
One site I use fairly regularly is having to try and manage use of showers because of visitors (not pitch hirers) using the showers and running the hot water down, his hot water heating system doesn’t have the capacity to wash 20 plus per night.
