Morning!

Anyone any coupons, cancellations or offers for getting over to France for August please?.

I normally book in advance for Spain, heading for playa montroig. Uncertainty meant and stupidity led to me not doing so.

As you may have read my posts, I am usually pretty keen on these things.

I need (want to head to France).

Eurotunnel is full for my dates
Brittany Ferries too
P&O North Sea is £1,600 return
Stena Line is too far and limited accommodation means that too is expensive.

So-far, p&o Dover - Calais comes out at £300 return. I have a 20 % voucher but it’s for cars Only.

DFDS to Amsterdam is limited capacity and lotto numbers.

Going to try DFDS Dover routes.

Any suggestions welcome.

But no mentions of “Staycation” please.

I don't know your age TeeMyob but if over 60 you can get a 20% discount on DFDS Newhaven-Dieppe. We use it all the time but then we live 30 mins from the port ?

I would think at £300 you are getting a good deal unless someone has a "voucher" of some sort. I have now tried a dozen times but the cheapest had always been Dover Calais at silly o'clock.

DFDS Dover Dunkirk but it is August holiday's for the hole of the EU so you might just have to suck it up and pay up
bill

If you are in the Caravan & motorhome club you could try them they saved me £40 when I rang then last month. But be prepared to travel late at night if you want a cheaper crossing.

Have a look at Broken Link Removed - its an easy way to compare the different crossings/companies.

Have you got any Tesco vouchers, three times their value on tunnel, our crossing in September completely paid for.

Same here the last couple of years it has often worked out cheaper than Dover/Calais but not in August,

Sorry reading your post again, I see tunnel is full :(

RESULT !

Forgot I was with them.

Down to £187 from my lowest which was £225 (£300 preferred times)

Just an update.

The cheapest we found was £119 to Dunkirk with DFDS through the Caravan Club. Good sailing times too.

However. We have changed plans and now no longer heading for southern France.

We are camping at Center Parcs in Holland and have booked the Harwich Ferry.

Direct was £479 with Stena

I booked through Caravan Club and Paid £359

Thanks for the tips. Saved a lot of money.
