Chassis greasing

Hi
How can I tell if my chassis is one of those that need greasing
My van is 2008 fiat Ducatio x250 autotrail apache 634l 7 metres in length

Just take a look under your van if it’s Fiat chassis no
If it’s Alko yes

if it has leaf springs its a fiat if it has trailing arms its an alco

Mines on an Alco, it's greased up every other year.

if the chassis is painted it is the fiat one and only needs standard maintenance
if it is silver and galvanised, the rear axle(s) needs greasing with the wheel off the ground each side for the torsion bar suspension

Some alco chassis don't need greasing you have to look for a nipple (grease) just inside the rear wheels facing downward.

Correct, as some axle tubes are sealed units, and therefore the annual greasing is not required.
