Changing from whale to shurflo

Hi
Is it easy to change from an onboard whale pump inside the tank to a shurflow outside the tank?
What are the advantages to doing this?

Are you changing from a microswitch system to a pressurised one. If not I cant see any advantage, an external shurflo pump is much noisier.

Its got micro switch only thinking of changing as had a problem with no water and could not get at the pump in the tank

You may need to cut a hole in the tank for a feed to the external Surflo pump unless the Whale pump already needs one

You'll probably need to extend that as without the pumpon thread it will only behalf way down
