Went to fill up this morning in Ruffec, lady came over and wanted to see the tank, explained that it is underneath. She kept asking for documentation, I explained that it was certified and she said ok, but I should have a label or document to state it is correctly installed and in test?

No idea but that sounds a logical question and requirement and if nothing else sensible. Someone will be along shortly I am sure and Im guessing they will say none exists.

I know in Spain I legally cannot buy gas bottles without being resident with a house there and understand if I were resident my gas system in the house needs to be inspected and certificated every few years.

I have gas it bottles in the gas locker and I have been asked a few times and I show the certificate that's printed on the bottle. Usually they haven't accepted that and I have had to go to another station and fill up. It only happens every now and then and sometimes they just say no you can't fill up. There are usually enough stations that don't care. So it hasn't been a big problem. The best stations are the supermarket ones where you pay as you drive out, as it's then too late for them to ask for the certificate and so don't bother asking.

I have posted before about LeClerc in Ruffec, avoid like the Plague. Even with a 'Certificate' taped to the inside of the Gas Locker she is still a pain.

Gaslow provide a blank certificate with the tanks to be completed by the installer, presumably not DIY, although in France a nice 'round Rubber Stamp afixed will suffice!

Hopefully this is allowed, it's a link from a Facebook page, there is no documentary with it but the result is very concerning.
Apparently the LPG tank was being filled.

Strange place to put the filler for a boot mounted lpg tank ?

They were lucky it was just a pressure blast from the failed LPG tank that luckily did not ignite.

Looks like Asia and no one in the the car so probably LNG. In Thailand when filling with LNG everyone has to get out of the car and stand clear, same with the buses every one off and well clear.
