If we are to buy this TV will it work in France or do we have to buy a full hd tv for it to work in France.?

Its more the fact that its just HDready we need to know.

HD ready means it has no HD tuner inside but will display HD if something gives it a signal like a stand alone box / HD satellite receiver, USB stick etc..

So no is the answer.
Remember HD in France will be in French language, may be the odd program that carries an English soundtrack.

I thought hd ready ment capable of 720 lines , whereas full hd is regarded as 1080...
so something labeled hd ready isn't full hd... not that I understand any of it
