Motorhome is a 2009 hobby on a Ford transit with a CBE charging system. Behind the drivers seat is an isolater switch which cuts power between leisure batteries and habitation side. The problem when not connected to EHU if I turn the switch off the fan runs permanently, turn it back on and the fan stops. I very rarely turn the switch off so it could have been like this for quite a while. I was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem.

When you say the fan runs permanently, have you given it 30 minutes.
There may be a safety device in the charger to dissipate heat after switch off and maybe the timer device is kaput.

Which fan is it that turns on?

Thanks for the reply. No I have not tried that but will give it a go tomorrow.👍

Is the isolator switch a complete battery isolation, or a switch that turns off almost all habitation circuits but leaves things like the step, fridge control and frost protection valve still connected?

autorouter. I will have to check the isolation switch because at the moment it doesn’t seem to turn anything off. I have had the Motorhome for 9 years and not really used the switch until a few weeks ago, what I don’t understand is why turning the switch off makes the charging fan work. The vans not even on Ehu.
