The new website of there's has drawn much critisism over the last few months on the own forum, but I found out over the weekend just how bad it was
I tried to book the Stena ferry to Holland on line and it is not user friendly the price was over £100.00 more for the same trip last year so I tel up and they do not give you the cheapest fare on overnight ferry they very kindly book you outside cabins as opposed to the inside ones. I was told to go the Ugrades section and then Downgrade to the inside cabins. bingo £80. cheaper. Then found out that unlike my previous tickets over the last 8 years (they were marked flexi and great play was made of their free flex upgrade they denied they ever issued such tickets)these are not classed as Flexi they are Economy with £20.00 charge from the club per alteration and a £20.00 charge from Stena, plus difference in fare. I then went to the price comparison sites and found a online price for the same ticket £30.00 cheaper then tried over the tel to evoke the clubs price promise and I was told ther ticket is only comparable with the Stena website no other companies offers can be accepted. I must tell you I have over the years been very satisfied with the club and book many of my ins and travel with them. I am still witing for a reply from them, but it might be a parting of ways in 2020

Not only are they pulling your pants down they are doing it with a smile.

What’s not to like ???

It's a business they are probably on a commission so the higher the price the more they make.

I tried to use it to book a ferry awhile back ....hopeless site, gave up in the end and went to Ferrysavers. Maybe came out of the same box as their forum software?

I have at last had a reply from the Caravan and Motorhome club. A rep tel me up and said that the default cabin is a problem maybe something to do with a prob at Stena booking system. The Ticket type is not a Economy type and as not changed they are always upgraded to Flexi free of charge, The Comparison price does include all the operators. To sum up the agent on the tel the other day simply did not what she was talking about and they have lost a booking I went with Direct Ferries, at last I can now look forward to my hols

Not had a problem with said club so far however we recently booked a ferry with the Camping and Caravan club and luckily I was on the P&O ferry website and had the quote in front of me.The price from CCC was £20/30 dearer. Give credit were it is due the lady refreshed her site and came up with a price approx £20/30 less than P&O.
