Have tried everything for the last 5 hours but everytime i send wireless engine start unblock .nothing happens and it stays red on the status page.Anybody got any ideas please?

Had this once due to website and van status being out of sync. Do you have mobile signal and can you see the message log? If so, send a start block. Wait a minute after you see it in the log then send an unblock. Worked for me. Vanbitz can also supply an override button for emergency use.

Yes i have good signal in the van and its parked where it is always parked so i dont think its a signal thing. all the other commands seem to work. i though i would try doing it from the website instead of the app , which is where im at now but hasnt made difference so not an app problem, grrrrrr pulling my hair out now lol

Thanks for the input oxoaps , tried that but didnt work .

OK. Must be something else - hopefully Vanbitz will have the answer later today.

Lateral thinking; have you changed your van clock to GMT yet? It may think times are different and becoming confused.

Why don’t you give Vanbitz a call?(y)

Ditto After reading this we have checked ours Engine will not start.

Have phoned Metatrak They are closed !!
Now phoned Vanbitz Have left a message awaiting a call back

Vanbitz read this thread and rang me first thing in the morning. Explained all and got MetaTrak to call . Immobiliser sorted for now and waiting on an id tag . Service beyond the call of duty both from vanbitz and MetaTrak . Thank you .

What bothers me is that there is a 'back door'.
You can be sure that thieves will know all about it.

Having a way of allowing remote access is not a "back door" especially if information (phone number, user ID etc) has to be provided by the user in order to permit said access.

It's the way technical support works wherever possible. Think of computer software like TeamViewer. Does that constitute a "back door" on machines it's installed on?

Eddie at Vanbitz also saw my message,he pm d me and very kindly offered to go into the office to get a code.As we were parked safely in our driveway we told him it can wait till Monday I am sure all will be sorted then
Yes a blipper Id tag sounds great

Yes

Industry standard software used by millions of people around the world every day.

Microsoft even have their own version as part of Windows.

You think that's a back door?

I'm assuming you don't understand it at all or have the first clue how it works?

I assure you I do know how to quantify the risks for information systems.
