From our base at Caumont we headed east ish along the canal until 5 kms we came across a village mas d'agenais with a rise on the bikes to get up to the church.
We found this from "two men on a bike" in 4od as there is a Rembrandt on show with free entry. "Christ on a Cross"
The church inside was actually quite impressive for a village

Then a long the very flat but occasionally bumpy surface hugging the canal and spotting aires and museums and really nice picnic spots which we didn't get in the other direction

Then to Damazan which was the biggest village to aim for and it had interesting square but Sunday lunchtime and nothing open and felt abandoned so a different time might give a better impression but it did have a swimming lake and water ski facility on the outskirts.
Tired limbs from the past few days cycling caused us to reconsider aiguillon and we returned getting damp on the way back and headed up the Lot for a couple of days
