I’m looking for a lightweight, easy to fold directors style chair preferable with a built in foldaway little side table one side and a side pocket the opposite side. I want a robust chair not anything flimsy and one that is really comfortable to sit on. Any personal recommendations would be most appreciated.
Thank you

We bought these recently
No side table or pocket but are quite comfy.

Blagged a couple from the local Garden Centre about 3 years back when they where flogging them off at £20 each (end of season, originally £40+ each) only one colour (light blue). They have seen a fair bit of use, and reasonably comfortable. Fold table and pocket for ????. Something to watch out for come Sept?.

Has anyone got one of these King Camp directors chairs and if so, what is your opinion please?

Oh dear! Not a good idea then would you say Gasman?
I suggest you go to an outlet and sit in a few chairs for a while, not just a minute. We took chairs, like the ones you asked about, to France for 3 weeks. They looked great, and felt comfortable when we first sat in them but that type of chair does not have the right support for lengthy sitting.

As I said go and try a few chairs, take a book and sit in them for a while. We now take a couple of our garden chairs with us, they may take up a bit more room but we can sit in them all day if we have to (rain etc.)

Not cheap but it we be slightly less with the discount I’ve been offered on Amazon at the moment Pete! ?

We have just bought one of these £33-9 on Amazon as our Gelert directors chairs gave up after 6 years of quite good use. These have a

more robust hinge (which is what broke) so hope they will last at least as long. The Gelert ones had separate fabric for the seat and back. We bought a similar one in Germany last year when the other Gelert broke (same hinge) and find it comfy but some are definitely more comfy than others. We are happy with just having these and not bothering with loungers.

Pilot camping chairs from Oz. I scored two 2nd hand and they are very comfortable, adjustable and robust. However, they are rare and expensive.

We bought Quest Elite director’s chairs for about £34 a couple of years ago, from Go Outdoors I think, when they were in a sale. I have back trouble and find them quite comfortable.

For comfort I like wooden Director's Chairs with canvas seats and back. I have a pair of Habitat ones for sitting in the garden but the snag with those is that the arms are not hinged to make them really space-saving enough to carry in the MH.

I found one proper wooden Director's Chair with folding arms in a bric-a-brac shop and am still searching for a second to make a matching pair.

The closest online equivalent could be this

I can recommend Lafuma Alu Cham Elips chairs, they are lightweight and comfortable, even recline a little. If you are serious about weight then get a small side table as all in ones are usually heavier.

Bought these Royal chairs at Newbury show. They fold up quite small. Think about £40 each. Would recommend you try chairs before buying, this coming from someone who has bought lots! Depends whether you want to lounge, sit up, eat at table etc. Everyone is different

Thank you everyone for all your help and photos you have all been very helpful and it is greatly appreciated.
As suggested i think I’m going to go and try some out in Go Outdoors etc and then make a decision. Basically I want one for just sitting outdoors on or using at music festivals and rallies etc and for using to sit at our outdoor table on when eating. Not so bothered about it being a chair for relaxing in as I’ve got a lounger for those times but just a good sturdy fold up everyday type chair that you could carry relatively easily.
