Doesn't look like a flea to me.

Not a tick - one you’ve seen one you’ll always recognise them with a shudder- and they are very difficult to kill.

My cockhead spaniel is a tick magnet - he even brought a 'friend' home from Wales a couple of weeks ago.

This is the best tool I have found for removing them without leaving the head imbedded in the flesh.

Then it's a case of putting the tick inside a wad of kitchen roll and squishing it between your finger nails. Very satisfying. 🤪

We usually drown them in vodka …

It’s one of the flies, not a tick or flea.

Looks like it only has one wing and looks like you can just make out a pterostigma , a darkened area on the outside of the wing (not all insect wings have these as visible). Maybe one wing has dropped off or it’s emerged from it’s pupae like that…sometimes the wings fail to fully inflate and the fly drags itself around for a bit then dies, other times it can be a genetic mutation!

First impression is it maybe one of the biting files? You been getting little bites from something?!
I take it it’s dead!

Don't know what it is but you should do something about the palour of your skin on these photos.😃
