Other than pitch up any recommendations for web sites that check wether a campsite has any availability ? - it’s proving tough getting somewhere in the south for this weekend coming

Have you tried the main clubs "late availability"?
The "south" is quite a large area... any chance of narrowing it down a bit?

Booked a week at Gloucester camping last week with no trouble, if you look for the smaller sites you should find somewhere.

I’ve taken to putting campsites in to google maps for the area I fancy and seeing what crops up.
There are a lot of pop up campsites at the moment.
Can be a bit of a faf looking at their websites if they have one, but I’ve found some nice sites this way.
