Camping and parking in Málaga

We have some friends who are flying out to stay in Málaga for a week and we'd like to be able to spend lots of time with them. How is Málaga for parking a motorhome in the daytime and what is the closest/nicest campsite, aire or free spot to Málaga? Thanks in advance.

I haven’t made it down to Malaga yet as still in Cartagena but best for you to use the apps park4night and search for sites. It’s what most people use and I also just use google maps religiously.

If it’s a free stop you want, use this place on park 4 nights. 15 min walk to the centre, lovely stop.
