Hi
Looking at pop up sites at Beaulieu and Beale Park.
£36 night quite steep, does it include EHU?
Thanks
Paul

Some do but most don’t.
I suggest you contact the THS organiser to check.
Usually you need to liaise with them to make your booking anyway.

Blimey there're a bit pricey, and minimum of two nights.
They are, but at least EHU included and it is August
I just looked online at the CMC website and Beale Park does offer EHU

Take a look online

edit
I just checked and Beaulieu has EHU too
Thanks Robert, looked for information yesterday, couldn't find it!
Cheers

The CaMC popups are not like others. We stayed one night on the Blenheim palace one last year. Roll out metal access roads, posh portable toilet and shower trailers and big generators supplying hook ups on all the pitches. All a bit OTT really. Hence the cost 🙄

followed that link for pop ups and they list 3 is that it or are there ,ore if your a member? are pop ups a new name for ths? weve been toying with the idea of joining a club but it seems you cant actually see what your getting uintil youve paid

THS's are done by the camping and caravaning club, there's loads of them and they are pretty cheap.

Yes 3 is all the CaMC have. I think last year was the first year they had any. The Caravan and camping club have a much bigger selection of ' temporary holiday sites' and locally organised rallies that any member can use at much more economical prices.

Went to the Beaulieu one 2 weeks ago and the facilities including EHU are as good if not better than the fixed sites.

Maybe three pop ups, but CAMC do have many temp hol sites. There is a booklet you can request or download from their website. Quite a few with electric hook up too.

i assume its only available to members?

Well every day is a school day. Just done a search and found a huge list, I've been a member of the CaMC for several years and didn't know that. In fact I Joined the CaCC this year specifically because the had temporary sites. Why do the CaMC make it so difficult to find the information?

Considering I've stayed at Beaulieu a couple of times in the last couple of years for £12 per night, I think I'll say 'no thanks' to the temporary site and stay there as part of one of the estate's own run events when it suits, at far lower cost.

That's interesting, how do you find out about them?

Download the Centres rallies pdf at the bottom of the first page

even more confused firstly i thought ths would run for weeks rather than days?
big list on the pdf but you have to belong to the local center to use them so realisticly only a limited choice? we did belong to one of the clubs before but found it very confusing as every thing we ever tried to book was full or not in our area

Generally the CCC club THS's are just turn up and pay assuming they have room, some however have to be booked as they are very popular, we stayed at Windy Harbour THS a few years ago and you had to book that. All run by volunteers I believe so some will just a weekend others maybe a month? Never been to a CMC THS so don't know how they work.

No you don’t, I’ve just spent 2.5 wks down in Dorset. We are in N Wales centre. You can apply a centre to yourselves, done yearly, costs nothing. All it means is you get the details of that particular centres rallit’s

Rallies may be full, more to do with people having booked. I did book, as it is very popular, my Dorset rally in Feb, but friends booked in May.

if there’s one you like the look of, most are done yearly, so maybe something to think about for next year.

I keep an eye on their website, or hear about things through various VW forums. I've stayed overnight as part of VW T-Chill, and also after Simply VW. Both enjoyable events. No option for EHU at either, but for just one or two nights that's no issue. They have plenty of other events annually, too, so it's not only VW things. I'm not sure there has been event camping this year after their own events due to the various uncertainties, but I'm hoping there will be again next year.
