Just managed to book a space at Baltic Wharf for this weekend, it usually impossible to get in there. Sadly it's only open for one more week, last departure date is the 17th (of this month). Plenty of open air drinking space nearby so should be a good couple of days away

If you’re taking a bike - lock it at all times. We were there a week ago with friends and they had a bike stolen between 10 - 10.30pm from under a cover on the back of the van. He hadn’t locked it - he knows he should have.

Thieving scum. I have a massive motorbike chain around mine, its probably worth more than the bikes

We’re there from Sunday to Friday, last time! I’ve always liked it there. not last visit this year though, off to Balloon festival which is on again this year.

They tried to saw through our lock whilst on the back of our van last year. We disturbed them. Disappointing that the site warden isn’t advising new arrivals. It’s rife around there.
Gonna miss the site though. Absolutely love the location (apart from the bike scum).

I just have a couple of cheap bikes I picked up from Gumtree but I still always remove the seat posts and keep them inside the van when the bikes are on the rack. Makes them less desirable I reckon as they can't be ridden away.

That's part of the reason I chose that location for the weekend, should be nice for alfresco drinking on Friday, then a long lie in Saturday followed by a short wander to the shops to keep the boss happy, the first since before Christmas, then maybe an afternoon film with a nice glass of rosé...or two
