Having trouble getting a 6.5kg calor gas bottle. Does anyone know of stocks, ideally on the route Newcastle to Belfast. The smaller one (3.2kg?) would do at a push.

I don't think Calor do a 6.5kg cylinder (nor a 3.2kg) so maybe that's why you're having trouble?

Calor is in very short supply. I understand 6kg are particularly difficult to find. Few will sell you a new bottle, you'll need an empty. I suggest phoning ahead. It often takes 6 or 7 suppliers to find a bottle.

There were loads of calor bottles available last month but they were more in the areas of Eniskillen, Armagh, Dungannon and Newry.

We passed through Newcastle a few times last month but I can't recall seeing any calor distribution points, or none on the main routes.
