Reading lots about shortage of 6kg calor gas, can you use flogas instead? Are the valves the same fitting?

Our local Flogas stockist [mainly domestic gas supplies rather than m/homes/caravans] has a decent stock of 6kg & 11kg Flogas bottles. At present they are restricting supplies to exchange only in case the bottle shortage becomes a problem and householders/static caravan residents are left high and dry; but the Staff were incredibly helpful and invited us to keep in touch so that we can get 11kg bottles when the supply chain has been restored to normality. Randolph Gas Supplies, Randolph Place, Kirkcaldy £26.75 for 6kg bottle, and no charge for the 25 mins spent trying to see if they had an automatic gas bottle switching regulator that could be fitted into Brunhilde! Are stock levels of Flogas any better? In my 2min search, no
They look to have the same low 6kg & 11kg stock levels and prefer exchange to new starters.
Plenty on eBay.I was just looking for this sort of answer prior to posting a question. Ive just got my MH a couple of days ago, but it only has 1x 11kg flogas, so im trying to get a 2nd. Suppliers (as you just said) arent able to sell me a bottle. Its all very well them saying theyre restricting to exchange only to protect householders/static caravan residents, but what about those of us who reside in our MH's and need a 2nd bottle for back up?
Any ideas where i might be able to buy a 2nd bottle please?

Have you searched flogas stockists on their website? I bought one last year at Campbell fuel oils in Kilmarnock.I looked on ebay/amazon already, all collection only and over 200 miles away at least. Im North Ayrshire Scotland (Bailey58).
Hi, yes, rang all 3 local to me, theyve been instructed they not allowed to sell bottles, exchanges only currently (even though they have the 11kg bottle i need in stock)Have you searched flogas stockists on their website? I bought one last year at Campbell fuel oils in Kilmarnock.

Have you sorted anything yet? Do you know you can get a second 11kg onboard? A lot of gas cupboards can only fit an 11 and 6kg. I am up that way next week, Falkirk Wheel possibly and onto Fort William before a week into the unknown. I can try our local depot to see what they have although I don't have space to carry an 11kg, would a 6kg do, even empty for you to exchange?
