We are intending to go over to Harris/Lewis and possible the Uists next week. CalMac are saying that you should have your first overnight stop booked. Might not be possible as we don’t yet know exactly when we will be crossing.

Has anybody been yet this year? If so, did they check when boarding the boat?

I have friends who went to Tiree recently, staying in a guesthouse. CalMac did check that they had accommodation.

I was told tiree don’t allow wild camping as they have a delicate water/eco system. Camping is only allowed on some farms etc.

Motorhomes need to book a pitch on one of the crofts through the Ranger. She meets the ferry and takes or directs you to the site. One or two have water but no other facilities. Water, CDP available at public toilets in the main village.
