I have seen lots of gas fire pits which look very similar to the cadac safari. Can a cadac be turned into a gas fire pit if you buy the fire pit smokeless stones??? What do you guys reckon as I have a new cadac safari plus an older one and wondered if it was worth trying with the older one before I part with it as gas fire pits are around £180 to buy and all out of stock. Asking first as I don’t want to do anything silly or dangerous.

a cadac is just a gas burner in reality and if its an old unused one, then you may think its worth trying it, i know i would, but away from any ignitable 'stuff' .....

I hadn't heard of gas fire pits. Sounds like the most inneficient way to provide heat a bit like having the heating on with all the windows open.
