Hi All
We have recently bought a Cadac BBQ and rather than buying another gas bottle (adding more weight) can I just hook it up to the spare bottle currently sitting in the gas storage cupboard?

Thanks AG

You will find it more convenient to have a BBQ point fitted.

Providing the new cadac is a Low Pressure model and you have a regulator on that spare bottle. (y)(y)

I will check out the cost of putting a BBQ point in.
However I've spent so much cash on the thing lately......
The van is parked away from home and I need to check the gas set up but from what I can remember we have two bottles and a switch in the middle (regulator??) that takes the supply from one bottle to the other.
So I need a long hose that attaches to the CADAC which I have checked is a low pressure model.
Thanks

As long as you have the correct regulator it is fine.

I have the option to do both, bbq point on the MH and pipe with regulator to use with spare gas bottle.

I think cadac recommend a maximum pipe length of 1.5m, the one I use with my bbq point is more like 3m

I recently fitted my own external bbq point - well within the scope of anyone who can measure and drill straight!

Yes I have had a look online and it seems fairly straightforward. I do believe I have the ability to measure and drill straight but given my track record on DIY the current Mrs G may disagree!!(n)
Appreciate the advice.
