Weve stayed before on the aire next to the zoo, but wondered if anyone had been to the zoo in their motorhome, and if you did, did you have a dog, and if so, how did you manage?

Not sure about the dog but I know you can easily take the van in.

If your only going to see the elephants don't go into the park walk down the lane by the aire (It's actually the car park as more level than the aire ) and be up close and personal with the elephants band save a fortune.?

Thanks, we've already done this, just wondered about the feasibility of actually going in the zoo

You can take the dog into the park in your van, if you go on the cable rides the dog has to stay in the van. But driving around the park was OK, wide roads, a good view from the van but had to park up in places to view the animal's. We did an afternoon after 2pm but not really long enough to stop anywhere in the park for a stroll around etc. But wouldn't have missed going. The aire is free so it's cheap anyway.
