I’m self building after having a beaut of a Hymer 544
I’ve got a 2016 Ducato and I’m putting a C-Tek in to manage the solar panel and the alternator charging my batteries. But I don’t know which fuse in the drivers knee box to piggyback with the thin red wire so it speaks to the smart alternator. Anyone got a clue?

My mechanic says it does but when I tested it it was kicking out the same 15.4v after 7 minutes at tick over that it was at the start. It has an odd cable assembly at the battery that has been disconnected but I’m not certain. I was thinking better safe than sorry…

My understanding is that a smart alternator is only fitted to a Ducato that has 'Start/Stop'. In other words if in traffic you stop, the engine should switch off.
My 2018 150 Ducato does not have a smart alternator.

Thanks Driventemple,
That’s what I thought too.
If the mech at my garage hadn’t said it does, I’d not have given it a second thought.
