Buying privately in Germany?

Looks like we have sold our Hymer 520 to a UK dealer and have seen a very nice spec Hymer Duo privately for sale in Germany, has anyone bought privately in Germany before and what was the procedure re travelling back to UK without number plate etc

What did you do about insurance whilst travelling back to the UK?

We had about a weeks insurance on the German plates I remember
we had good help from the seller!

I've done it a number of times, all very straightforward apart from the fact that the compulsory German export plates and insurance only give 3rd party cover.
I found it impossible to obtain comprehensive cover until the vans were back in the UK.

Can use the account just like a normal bank account.

You imagine incorrectly, you can transfer to any Euro account using IBAN and BIC which every account has. It is very simple, and you even use the same transfer facility to pay a dealer. And with a Revolut premium account this happens within 2 hours, so I sat infront of the dealer and paid from my phone for my Morelo! Explore it you will be impressed.
