Since 2019.
Off to Spain and Portugal in October and I'm short of three Michelin maps I wanted. They're not going to be available in the UK until the end of the year so I intend to wait until I get to Spain to buy them. Is that a good plan? What sort of shops in Spain will sell Michelin maps?

Not sure about Spain.
But have you tried Amazon and Ebay?

I assume you are using 'Michelin' generically. Other producers are available.
Stationers, tobacconists/magazine/book/postcard shops, tourist offices.......................

Quite difficult to buy maps in general..the larger bookshops might help....also Erosky supermarkets sometimes have road maps and tourist guides...

Yes, the ones I want are either only available used or from Germany.
Are you looking for a Special type of map or a road map...
The reason I ask is there are other mapping sources in Spain....some are what we use on a daily basis...please do tell...

I'm looking for Michelin maps #571, 575 and 591(1 cm to 4 km). I do like a paper map!

Dash4it are very good suppliers and they have 571 in stock, haven’t checked the others. They also used to do a discount if CAZC members not sure of still applies but worth checking .

We were in Spain last week and bought maps from a garage no problem but alway better got before

I've discovered not to believe a supplier when they say they have it in stock. I originally ordered #571, 575 and 591 from Dash4it along with several other maps. They delivered the others but not the three I'm now seeking. I called Dash4it this morning - there latest information for delivery in Dec 2022. I also called MapsOnline as their website says in stock, but they're also not expecting delivery until December. They told me that Michelin has ceased to have their own distribution centre in the UK and are now relying on a third party to distribute their maps which has caused this current hiatus.

Be aware that the junction numbers along the A7 have all recently changed, so most maps are now incorrect as well as Google Maps, etc in places. Also, there's no 'magic number' to add / subtract* due to the way they have now incorporated some of the AP sections in some areas.
* Instead of the UK junction numbers in Spain they tend to use the number of km from the start of the motorway. While this makes it dead easy to callculate how far you have go, it all goes 7its up if they lengthen the motorway. Dirty data as its called.

But still handy as you know J56 is 20 kms after J36 etc...
