Hi, our T690 Avantgaurde 2004 is fitted with roof rails (bars) that seem to have slots on the inside face. Would these be suitable for mounting a couple of panels using Tee bolts do you think? Could you foresee any issues with having the panels approx 4" off the roof, ie wind beneath the panels etc? I've asked Burstner the question but no response as yet so thought I would ask the collective wisdom!

There could be a lot of pressure under them if doing 70mph into a headwind. Why not just fit them the usual way?

Security if its do'able and ease of installation with the advantage of being able to remove them easily if the need arose !

I had solar panels fitted in a similar way on an Auto Sleeper without any problems .. I used s/s "U" bolts to fix on to the rails.
Certainly a lot easier to clean under the panels.
