Burstner T605

Hi all I am new to the motorhome world , we have just bought a burstner fiat ducato T605 year 2003, I have just hooked it up to the mains 230v and have the fridge running but the internal lights will only work if I select the 12v switch is this correct or am I doing something wrong, thanks in advance for any help.

With most vans, the panel switches on the 12v stuff like the lights and the pump. When you're hooked up, the 230v runs a charger for the habitation battery... which is then effectively also feeding your 12v stuff.

I think that is probably correct.
We used to have a t625 of the same age and the lights were on the 12v circuit rather than the mains circuit.

What make and model fridge ?
The internal light should work on all power sources.
