Bulldozers moved into the Villasol site this morning. They are going to decommission three rows of touring pitches and will be constructing chalets or cabins on them. This will result in the loss of 60 - 70 pitches used by motor homes and caravans. I fear that a lot of regular visitors to Villasol will have to look for alternative accommodation next winter.

VERY SAD :(

Simply a fact of life..year on year wherever we return to a site we like you see more and more statics. That's what happens when you leave it up to the bean counters:D

plenty of pitches on Arena Blanca......:coffee:

How many pitches has your apartment got?, just a thought. (y)

If you have a VW you will be ok to get in the car park... 1.98mtr max .. (y)

Daft thing is my apartment service charge for a year is a quarter of what they charge on campsites... and I have a 3mtr sat dish connection for all my UK telly :)

The Funsters will be wilding along the Tonka By Pass next winter. We will call into the Tonka Towers Cafe for a full English breakfast in the mornings.
And running cables from the 3mtr sat dish.

Think they are forcing the Winter gang down to the pitches near the road, which were mainly empty during our time there, they did fill up towards the end of February, but there was still places most of the time, what it does mean is that the 2 shower blocks in the redeveloped area will not be very convenient for the remaining lower pitches.
La Torreta next winter ? ;)

Seems a strange time of the year to start construction work on a campsite o_O

Oops! a daises!
