Last year I bought my first MH an E425 ( 2004 but only 10000 miles)

The door has bulge towards the top and a smaller one just below the lock. It looks looks like it has become delaminated.

The door works fine, seals perfectly and there is no sign of water ingress .

Looking at the bessacar recall posts it seems to relate to newer models but i am wondering if its common problem.

does anyone have info re this and how to repair/replace etc
thanks

Can you press it back in shape ?

I've never tried this but I wonder if you could drill a small hole, inject liquid superglue and press it down.

I tried pushing it flat but it just springs back -not sure about drilling the door tho. Ithink a replacement door will be a tad expensive so I may just leave it

Hi,

You don't say where you are but if you are near us or passing by, pop in and we will have a look.

UPDATE
Went to 2 main dealers who said new door requied and quoted £700 and £800 . How ever found a caravan body repairer who
1. took the door handle off then pumped in some bonding
2. Drilled a small holle thro the inside door and did the same at the top of the door
3 pressed it by weighting for 2 days
4 even covered the internal drill hole

All bulges gone and looks like new all the sweeter for the £100 total bill
Thanks for the idea Hilldweller

My pleasure.

We are in a skill-less world. All they understand now is "replace".

Exactly the same with Electroblok chargers - repair in Germany £150, but here dealers immediately quote £800.

I had the same thing on my Swift 630g. I think it is caused by badly fitting lock receptacle which in turn means you have to use a little more force than is good for the door to close it.

Try and adjust the receptacle closer to the door, but you may not be able to do this as it may already be as close as it can be.

I had to have a new door fitted, just another example of the rubbish that comes out of the Swift factory.
