Our second issue from the recent Weston-S-M trip is that mrskevenh altered how the habitat door handle is fixed :o

Are these handles easy to fix or replace?

Are the white covers hiding screws? I'll check after work - one day.
A temporary bodge could be a tie wrap

I think I’ve answered my own question: OBERHOLZ HANDLE

And the outside part is what the inside part fits to?
Via 5 screws/bolts.

There’s a choice of with barrel & without. So, try take mine apart & see what I find.

A bit cheaper on Outdoorbits, do we still get discount too?

Outside oberholz handle ordered. Should arrive this week (UK shop front for German warehouse?).

Just need to remove screw covers cleanly. Tried electrical tape & gaffe tape. Bluetac next. Then a sharp knife & maybe replace with new covers,

Got the new handle in my mitts today.
Should have this job completed by Saturday afternoon.
'be good to get at least one of the last trip's issues sorted...

Done! For now. Only giving myself 6/10

It’s on now but the mechanism doesn’t spring back when released. It moves OK manually reset.
Tried shifting the assembly around but no change.
Maybe it’ll ease up.
