Brittany ferry amendment query - is 12 months really 12 months? (1 Viewer)

I need to amend my flexi ticket, but am not sure I will be able to use it in the next 12 months. I have been told by a long time bf customer that if I amend it to, say, March 22, then the 12 months resets itself from that departure date and not the original departure date. I am hoping that this is true, but cannot see how it would be viable for bf to do this.

Has anyone on this forum had experience of whether this works or not?

I had a credit with them years ago and couldn't use it for various reasons and rang them explaining the situation and they extended the date twice in the end, but did say I had to use it that time, I can't fault their customer service.
