Morning,

Does anyone have a Brittainy Ferries Code that we could use...?

Cheers
Chris, Bannock and Red.

How much discount do these codes offer?

Ian

Usually 10% off the base fare so excluding cabin costs so on a Spain crossing you would save £30 to £40 each way. Any Brittany Ferries Voyage Club member can share their code with Friends and Family and they receive £10 credit towards the yearly fee which is £125 which is why you see a quick response. As you are a close friend of mine I can share my code if you need it.:giggle:

Your missus doesn't say so!!!

Once again booked with Brittany Ferries despite the exorbitant prices, problem is we live in the west of uk and I am fed up with the M25 and the M20 to Dover, then driving all the way back to Caen/ Rouen etc.
Eventually got a better price through the CAMC but was surprised that the price changed went up £10 between Christmas and Boxing Day!
Is that what they cal Dynamic Pricing?
Mike
PS When I say better, it was more than the 10% discount better, if you know what I mean.

May I ask what price you call Exorbitant (size of vehicle, dates etc?)

I tried to do a sort of cost- benefit -analysis with regard to mileage v cross channel cost. Bearing in mind we are heading from Gloucestershire to the area around Millau late in May . 2 persons with a 7m motorhome and Annie is not a confident sailor. I had promised her the Chunnel at £200 plus 200miles drive to folkestone then lets say 200m back to Caen. DFDS was £158 rtn
Using Portsmouth (120much easier miles from here) to Caen. B Ferry direct was £193 outward and £211 rrtn with window cabin but thru CAMC was £377 at Christmas, changing within a day to £387. Slightly dearer than using a BF 10% code but with much easier amendment arrangements and more assistance if circumstances prevail- as they have done in the past
Just checked with CAMC tonight same booking is £402 return.
Going the long trip down to Santander out of plymouth was £485 one way

Of course if one adds in the CAMC membership it changes a lot but we do use that for CL's and not much else
what a minefield!

Well perhaps not but it seems that it does pay to shop around and book early, especially if you want things like window cabins.
Hope this may help others
Mike

We will definately book earlier next time, had problems finding a sailing back around the right date with a kennel available, not a chance of getting a pet friendly cabin.

Thanks again Flamenca

Cheers
