Saw a silver van today with a set of bright orange wing mirror protectors on. Anyone know where I can get a set? Nothing coming up on google search.

Maybe orange was his own addition?

I’m guessing so .. but looked pretty professional ... and high sheen ... are you thinking spray paint?
It was stunning and very visible ... think it would minimise some close encounters

I bought a set of White Mirror Guards, and on the good advice of another well seasoned Funster, I peeled off the Mirror Guard Sticker and applied reflective tape, cut to size for the middle part facing front.

But in answer to the question No I haven't see any bright coloured ones thus far, so maybe he had them custom sprayed in his workshop. Makes a change from Yellow Fun Stickers eh? :giggle:

I just bought reflective orange tape , seemed the easy way to go and only £4.30 , still fit to though

We use the reflective Silver tape as Scotch mist has already mentioned.
Works very well too (y)

Sorry Liz, you'll have to buy the whole van as you can't buy the mirrors separately

When mirror guards become too distracting ... you might find that traffic is mesmerised and veers towards you.

I have stuck yellow reflecting tape as found in Halfords! Also on the forward face of the mirror protectors clear cycle reflectors, the yellow tape has badly faded but the reflectors work well. No one has hit the mirrors yet so it seems to work both during the day and at night.

Could maybe have standard mirror guards wrapped in reflective vinyl like they do flash cars.

I had my mirror covers not mirror guards sprayed to match the van looks far better than the matt black.

I’m guessing they were sprayed or wrapped ... I’ve followed all the links and found nothing similar ...

A nephew of mine is wrapping my mirror casings in bright green along with other little bits of detailing to personalize the van, l wanted bright green sparkly but my nephew said that the sparkle wouldn't last long because of UV deterioration.
So bright green with additional reflective stickers it shall be, until l hit a branch, damn my Pilote is WIDE ☹

The van next to me has orange mirror guards, asked him this morning and he did them himself using a product called Plastikcote which he bought at B&Q. He treated them two years ago but they look as if they were manufactured in this colour

Not Cheap!.

Robbery! last time I had a mirror chopped completely off I did not pay as much as that to replace it.and the mirror guard was intact - hence the paint job. That was a wider van with long arms and the same guards with slight modification went on the present van that has the standard arms.

I had mine sprayed just got some cheap covers of e bay about £15.00 ish look great will post photo when I can
