Hi all, does anyone know a good/safe spot for parking my motorhome this weekend. Thanks Neil

Welcome! Is Bream Sands a place?

Edit. There is a Brean near Weston-super-mare - is this where you mean?

If it is brean nr burnham I think the gates are shut tide comes in really quick.ive seen a lot go down there unless you stay back not really safe

Plenty of campsites around that area if any are open. Or do u want a FLT location.

You could try the NT car park at the end of the beach road near Brean Down......

Hi all, yes brean in burnham. The campsites are closed or fully booked. I was wondering if there is lay-by or pub or car park we can stay ?

That’s fantastic thank you everyone for your help. Neil

Welcome to the forum. There is always someone on here that can help with any query. Look forward to you joining and joining in the banter, advice and jokes, etc.

Let us know how you go on at Brean. Take care of the tides.

There is a carpark opposite the Sundowner inn. It has a freshwater tap, Waste water drain and EHU posts. I don't know who runs it . It may be the camping/fishing tackle shop.

Ok thank you. I’m going to look on google images for the sundowner inn

I wouldn't park on the sea front in Burnham, they have had a recent nightmare with travellers. The church at Berrow is also a bit sensitive, they have done loads of work there to stop travellers as well. Best pub stop in the area I would say is the Crossways at West Huntspill. The beach is definitely not advisable, dozens of cars have been caught out by the tides down there! I'm surprised the sites are all are booked up, have you tried Hurn Lane?

North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Bristol are in Tier 3..

Brean and Burnham are in Sedgemore, part of Somerset......Tier 2 I believe. (y)

Parking on the beach is ok, when the tide goes out you have a lovely area to drive on, saves a long walk to paddle. Occasionally vehicles get stuck but a motor home with those big tyres should be ok. Might have a problem with the Covid police, I think it’s in Tier 3.
Don’t worry if you get stuck the RNLI have a hovercraft there for events like that.

The NT car park doesn’t have height barrier but does say no overnighting.... the only site that looked vaguely open was Brean Farm but couldn’t find anybody to ask. The car park after the NT one has height barriers. All the pubs were closed.

Western super mare just up the road is their 3 I think. Must be right on the boundary.

I live in Weston. I can look across Weston Bay and see Brean Down, the county border (Road wise) is a few miles south of the town.

Geographically, it just across the river at Uphill ( I’m sure some of you have stayed at Uphill Boatyard). (y)

Yes we're in tier 2. As far as I remember there is no overnighting or naked flames in the carpark beside B&M.

This is fabulous help everyone, thank you very much.

Park4night is showing parking next to the church at Berrow
Overnight ed there in October and got rudely snarled at by a local Parish Councillor telling us we can't park there and to move on.. miserable scrote
