Breakdown Insurance France

Was looking at the thread in insurance for Turkey and not wanting to hijack a thread thought I'd start a new one about breakdown insurance abroad. We're going to France in July and was arranging breakdown insurance through the caravan and motorhome club. However as my van is over 17 years old they want me to service it before they will insure it. Are there any insurance companies which don't have this requirement as the van has just had a thorough going over and has passed its MOT but no service as such and has recently had an oil ad filter change.

Went through this with my Moho insurance yesterday. Have got it covered in the Uk.

Was told could upgrade anytime fo single trip, turned out a load of tosh by Motorhome Direct.

Rang CBC who do my disco breakdown.
Got uk and EU multi trip up to 90 days over there £109 per annum. This for an aging 23yr old Ducato

One thing to be aware of when traveling in France (if you weren't already aware)

No matter who your cover is with.
Any A road in France has its own breakdown system,and operatives and it pay up monsieur.
So if you have a Bd and can't do a quick fix. It could possibly pay up or pay and claim.
All in the small print.
