Bread Basket Mud Mats

I've "acquired" a used bread basket from our local tip. I assume I just need to cut the sides down flush with the base, and then cut it in half? Any advice on best saw to use? Also which way up are they most effective?

Me too, an old one.

If you leave the odd projection when cutting, i.e. 1" or so up from the base it gives a bit of grip when turned laying into the grass.

Do they need to be cut in half? I thought i would fix them to my bike rack for traveling

Don't need to be cut in length unless awkward to store.

Easier to use an angle grinder to cut them.

Jigsaw with the correct blade for plastic will cut them.

I managed to get two baskets. Cut in half with Jigsaw. Then ti wrapped two on top of each other . Gives extra strength when drove onto.
