Is it worth booking ahead for October now? We are tied to school October fortnight dates but aware everything could change for better or worse between now and then. We can only go if quarantine is dropped and overseas travel is allowed so we are insured.

Liz I bit the bullet yesterday and booked the Ferry for September, I spoke with them beforehand asking what happens if the 14 day self isolation on return to UK is still in place. I was told I could change dates for £20 admin plus any difference in price, I think I got a good deal at just under £400 return Hull to Rotterdam.

Thanks Gerry ... that was an exceptional deal!! We’re definitely doing tunnel but I might just ring and ask the same question ... We would need to be able to postpone booking until the following summer as Sam has (or most probably hasn’t) his Highers next year.

Just so you know I did it via online chat then had it emailed to me so they can't go back on what they told me.

Thanks.
Currently only refundable up to mid September so I’ll need to wait a bit ...

I think the greater risk is from a second wave.

I've booked the tunnel for 8th September.

Because things are gradually opening up across Europe, we want to help you plan in a responsible way, to ensure that you can wait until the moment is right, or change those plans completely if things don’t progress as you expect. That’s why we’ll be introducing a new, refundable ticket in the next two to three weeks. However, whilst we finish the development needed to get this new product onto the website, we have decided to give you the following peace-of-mind promise:

Make a summer holiday booking, and we’ll refund it if you change your mind.

Until the new ticket-type goes live, any Standard ticket booked from today for travel to will be fully refundable at no extra cost – just call us to cancel and we’ll refund the full cost of the booking.

Be assured that, even when the new ticket-type comes in, all our tickets will continue to be amendable as many times as you like for travel within a year of purchase – we know that level of flexibility is extremely important to our customers. And, as usual, if rather than aiming for a particular shuttle time, you like the full flexibility to be our priority whatever time you arrive at the terminal, then our Flexiplus ticket is the one for you.
