Whilst away on our last short trip we were sitting eating a late breakfast when there was a loud bang and the net blind when all errrh!!

Tried to get several people to come out and fix it once we were home. Absolutely no joy, not interested for the next four months. No good for me we are planning a trip in September.

Decided to have a go myself. Took out the side and top pieces and unscrewed the blind cassette form the window frame. Easy so far you say. well it was.

Found out what was wrong. It was the little plastic widget that keeps the tension on the net roller. Searched everywhere on line for the bit, finally found it at sales@leisurespares.co.uk I had the new piece with in forty eight hours. HOW IS THAT FOR SERVICE. Now all I have got to do is source new screws. The cassette has obviously been off before and the screw heads are all mangled.

Be careful re tensioning the roller. I used the plastic bracket to wind the tension on when my hands were already stiff and creaky. It slipped and sliced my fingers. :crying1:Its amazing how sharp a bit of plastic can be. Putting sticky plasters on one handed is a challenge. Management was out at the time. When she came home, she just asked if I had left any blood stains on the trim in the van.
I put everything back together the next day whilst being supervised ready for another mishap.
My bracket came from Liesurespares. I was equally pleased with the service.
