@5yrs
Hoping for a few words of wisdom.
I have a 2007 Flair8000. She has an Alde 3010 system of radiators. All working fine through winter then last weekend while doing a test I noticed rads were cold.

Lifted the panel, clocked pipes from @50cm away from the unit were cold and closer very hot. The pump is working just fine.

Deduced big air lock. Correct?

Inspected bleed points at radiators and found one is leaking. Very visibly and must have been for a wee while.

My questions surround bleeding the system. Should the pump be on, or not?
Do I simply start at the lowest point and work higher?

Guidance sought and would/will be gratefully received

Do it with the pump on, you might get it all just starting at the top, I found our Flair really easy to bleed, you might need to top up the header.

Hi.
from memory... When we had it in a c/van,one end ( Forgot which) had to be lower than the other, but this will be checkable i would have thought on You tube " How to ". best of luck.

Alde recommend doing it with the pump off. You can suck air in otherwise.

Keep checking the tank level and ensure you top up with the correct mixture to the max level.

Find a big hill, park facing up and bleed, run the heating, then repeat facing down the hill, finish on the flat.

Voila!

Yes great service from Alde, 5 yesr fluid should last they said.

Ahh, I tried to ring Alde yesterday but the message said 'closed'.

May try again today then. I've no qualms about getting stuck in but then again none about nipping over to Alde and getting the experts to go through it for me.

Alde closed on Friday 17th July for 3 weeks. I was there on the 16th having work done.

Thanks,
In which case, I will give it a go and if I fail book in with Alde upon their return.

Ok, so. I will post the resolution to this as I'm all too aware that people in the future might search for this type of issue.

Radiators I did open the bleed valves on and none had air. Yet the pump was running.

The pump assembly looked absolutely screwed into the header tank correctly. I now know however that if it's off slightly which then has the impeller canted then it f11cks up the flow.

Still, it's given me a chance to get to know the unit better. It's not time wasted.
