As a regular tea ( Tetleys, Yorkshire etc) I was a little apprehensive about trying biscuit tea but…..OMG, it’s lovely. Perfect if you have a sweeter taste in tea. Aldi own brand is fab.
Added a box to the Moho….definitely worth a try

You should be ashamed of yourself, that’s not tea. Yorkshire gold is tea. The girlfriend of my youngest son gave me a box of flavoured tea bags as a gift, he apologised on her behalf and they moved to Glasgow….

They should have moved to the north side of The Clyde. Put another moat between you! :whistle2: :giggler:

That gives me an idea for Chistmas presents (can't say for who)

Apologies…I do have to agree about flavoured teabags though. They smell divine but taste vile, to me. :roflmto:

If you can’t put milk and sugar in it and then dunk a biscuit in it, then it should be a crime to call it tea.

SWMBO drinks stinging nettle tea!!!! What’s that all about and has boxes of things that no tea drinking folk should hear of.

Blooming weirdo’s 😀

Biscuit tea is ordinary tea just with a lovely smell and is great for dunking. You really must try it :giggle: It’s not one of those herbal types.

I’ve gone over the years from Nat’s piss milky tea to Yorkshire tea left to brew for 5 mins and little milk, what’s that about..🤷🏼‍♂️

Don’t tastes change when we get older…😆

Yep you need to be able to stand a teaspoon up in it 👍

I do class biscuit tea as a flavoured tea you know. I drink very strong black tea. My brother-in-law said that just once he’d like to hear me say “ooh that’s a bit strong”!

I love coffee as well these days but I’d rather have a bad cup of coffee than a bad cup of tea. At least I can force that down !

You stupid boy!

Biscuit tea is a labour saving item! The biscuit has already been pre-dunked!(y)

Saves you having to do it yourself.:giggler:

Can’t stand strong tea. Stepdad was a Unigate milkman and from the age of 8, I used to have to get up all year round and go with him to deliver the milk.

He was a tough old soldier and his idea of tea, was an aluminium teapot filled with water and a ton of tea leafs plonked in, then brought to the boil and left simmering to stew. It was disgusting, truly disgusting and when he poured it out, the strainer was emptied back into the simmering teapot.

So, as I always said in the army, I now like my tea, as I like my woman, warm, white, sweet and wet 🙄😁

Love it. I’m one of those tea drinkers who loves it when I’m dunking and a biscuit breaks and sinks into the tea, the more the merrier, as I love to slurp them down when the teas nearly gone.

Wonder how that would taste with biscuit tea 🤔😁

Yip, great when it's approaching the consistency of soup when you get to the bottom! (y)

:sick: I like the odd cup of Asam tea but I’m a coffee drinker .

Most tea bags contain fannings not leaves i.e. they are filled with tea dust. It brews quickly and gives a dark brew but as for flavour? For years coffee drinkers were fobbed off with instant coffee but now real coffee beans are making a comeback. Perhaps the same will happen with tea.

Would make a great home crafts kit. Tea leafs, hessian sacking, special cordless sewing machine and make your own teabags with real tea. JML could take it on and sell them through places like Robert Diaryarse 😁

Agreed. Nothing worse than a cup of milky gnats p***. My husband struggles to brew a decent cup and I have to use a teapot..even for one cup. My friends think I am bonkers. :roflmto:

What is actually means is, that your bonkers 🤭

Tea

best drink of the “dea” 😀

medium to strong, no sugar and def no milk

Why anyone puts milk in tea is beyond me, you can’t taste the true taste of the tea

And born and bred in Yorkshire you know i’m right 👍😂

I put my change in taste to the possibility I don't have any taste buds left. Completely destroyed by too many vindaloos.

Part of your last sentence gives the true insight to your comment of "no sugar and def no milk"!

They're more expensive than water (and tea / bags)! :giggler:

So my ideal mug of tea requires a very specific process.

Boil kettle, add to cold mug until it’s piping hot.

Reboil kettle.

Add exactly the same quantity of milk each time.

Add Yorkshire Gold teabag and mash until I reach the desired colour and that way, it tastes exactly the same each time I make it 👍🏻

Remove teabag and discard.

I think those that just add water to the teabag and mash and remove and then add the milk, will adjust the tea to the desired colour, but depending on how long and how mashed, will depend on how strong. That way you get different results each time.

Mines tried and tested over many years and millions of gallons of tea. ☕

Love a bit of mashing…although I only ever do it in the mug if I am desperate. Tea pot all the way ….was you not dragged up propply?:roflmto::roflmto::roflmto:
